When does the season start and end?

Our 2024 House League season will begin the week of May 6 (subject to weather and field permits) and end mid August.  There will be an end of season Gala Day for T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams on August 10 (raindate Aug 11).  Playoffs for Rookieball, Mosquito and Peewee will run from August 12-18.  Bantam and Midget teams will have their own playoff schedule announced during the season

Do you offer Fall/Winter programs?

Yes! We currently have House League Camps running until the end of March. Most are full but you can join the waitlist. Use this link to find all camp options. We are planning to offer more camps during the season as well. Information will be sent to players who are registered for the 2024 Season

How much does it cost to register for House League?

Please refer to our 2024 House League Rates for fees per division

How can I register my player?

Please use our 2024 House League Registration Form to register your player.  If it is your first time registering, you will need to create a player profile. If you have a returning player registered with us, you will only need to update the registration form and add to cart.

Is a uniform covered under my Registration Fee?

Yes. Your player will receive a full uniform (jersey, pants, hat and socks)

What do I need to buy for my player?

You will need to purchase a glove, batting helmet, jock/jill and cleats (NO metal cleats allowed).  Please note cleats are not mandatory for T-Ball and Coach Pitch

Can I make a request for my son/daughter to be on the same team as his/her friend or sibling?

Yes you can. You can make this request on the registration form under the Friend Request field.  Please note we can only accept one friend request per player.  We will do our best to place friend's together however there is no guarantee and balancing players for age, experience and ability is a priority in 8U (Rookieball) and up.  SIBLINGS IN THE SAME DIVISION WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE PLACED ON THE SAME TEAM IF requested.

Can I make a request for a specific practice day/time?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for specific practice days/times

Can I request the same coach we had last year?

Yes you can. You can make this request on the registration form under the Special Request field and we will do our best to place your son/daughter on that team but there is no guarantee

Can I request for my son/daughter to play up a level?

Yes you can.  Please first register your player for the correct birth year and then email our Director of Operations Heidi Dombek at [email protected] to request a change of division

What days will the games and practices be on?

There will be one (1) game per week, played on weeknights and one (1) practice per week held on the weekends. Please refer to our 2024 Days of Play for division specific game and practice days (subject to change). Please note game days will rotate. We understand some players will have other activities that may conflict with some game nights. We just ask that you please let your coach know so he/she can plan accordingly.

Can I request games are played at a field close to where we live?

Unfortunately no. There are many factors to consider when allocating fields such as ensuring the correct size for the age/division of the players, access to electricity for Rookieball teams, lit diamonds for late evening games, mounds for older teams etc.

What if my son/daughter has never played baseball before?

We welcome all players regardless of skill level to our House League program!  A player assessment prior to the season allows us to build teams with a balance of new and experienced players.  Our focus in House League is teaching the fundamentals to ensure the players are having fun while building on their baseball skills

Will there be tryouts?

No.  Our House League program does not have tryouts but we will be conducting player assessments prior to the start of the season in order to build balanced teams for Rookieball, Mosquito and Peewee players.

What if it rains on a game/practice day?

The Town of Oakville makes a decision to close fields due to weather by 3pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday).  If Baseball Oakville is notified by the Town that fields are closed, we immediately email all coaches who will then notify their team. If you do not receive notification from your coach, you should still plan to go to the field as scheduled.

What if there is a heat warning issued on a game/practice day?

As Baseball is a summer sport, we do not cancel games due to heat warnings. We encourage all players to stay in the shade when they are not on the field and to drink lots of water. If for any reason a parent or guardian does not feel comfortable having their player participate in baseball activities during a heat warning, we ask that they notify their coach as soon as possible that their player will not be attending so that they can plan accordingly.

What is your Refund Policy?
