8:30 am – 4:30 pm

To all our returning Umpires, we welcome you back for another great season of baseball. To any other members who may be interested in becoming an umpire for the 2015 season, we encourage you to review the Umpire information on the Baseball Oakville websiteBaseball Ontario website, or contact our Umpire-In-Chief, Kimberley Holloway for more information.

Umpires must be at least 12 years of age by the start of the baseball season (May 1, 2015).

All Level certified umpires are required by the Ontario Baseball Association and Baseball Canada to be recertified yearly. Baseball Oakville is hosting a one-day Umpire Clinic on Saturday, April 25.

A new or returning umpire must pre-register with Baseball Ontario to be accepted to participate at this clinic.

Clinic Cost for Level 1 is $25 and Level 2 is $45.
  • Level 1: must take for 2 consecutive years before going to Level 2
  • Level 2: must take for 3 consecutive years to maintain or move to Level 3
Registration:
  • Go to www.baseballontario.com and hit Umpires at the bottom left.
  • Then press view my profile and login to your profile with your username and password.
  • Select our clinic (U15-16 Oakville/COBA) from the drop down menu and register.
  • Kimberley Holloway will confirm your registration via email.
  • Once you have confirmation from Kimberley, you must then fill out the online registration form and complete payment on the Baseball Oakville website
Clinic:
  • Please be prepared to spend the entire day at the clinic. If any umpire needs to leave early, they will not be given certification and will have to retake a full day course. There is a written exam at the end of the day that is mandatory post classroom and in-field training.
  • Please also come prepared to work on the field (track pants, sweat pants, etc. *no jeans*).
  • Please pack a lunch, or have arrangements to go for lunch on our break.
