Baseball Oakville’s 2015 House League Season

House League is recreational baseball for players of all ages and skill levels.  Our goal at Baseball Oakville is to promote skill development, team building, sportsmanship, confidence, and an enjoyment of the game of baseball.  We are focused on both player and coach development.

The House League program runs from May until early to mid August. Registration in the program will provide players with the following:

  • A Team Uniform
  • One Practice per week (weekends)
  • One Game per week (weekday evenings)

For the 2015 season, our House League program will include:

Indoor Development Clinics

Free indoor development clinics at The Dugout for our House League players run through January, February and March.

Tee Ball

Our aim for 2015 is to have our T-Ballers throw, catch and hit the ball more often. We want to increase the engagement of T-ballers on the field in the hopes of facilitating skill development and enhancing the fun factor.

Towards this end, the 2015 T-Ball program will see the following changes:

  • Reducing team sizes to a maximum of 7 players;
  • Allowing each player 2 at bats per inning;
  • Providing detailed season and practice plans;
  • Providing supplementary indoor clinics at the Dugout;
  • Combining weekly practice sessions with a 1-inning game.

With these changes, we expect T-Ballers to develop baseball skills sooner and have more fun in the process.

Meet the Coach

All House League players will meet their coaches and receive their uniforms during the week of April 27, 2015.  Watch our website for team listings.

Opening Day – May 9th

No Baseball season can start without Opening Day. Baseball Oakville will be hosting its Opening Day on Saturday, May 9, 2015. There will be a Parade of Players for all Oakville players (House League, Select and Rep), a ceremonial first pitch, featured games, food, fun and more.

Picture Day – May 2015

Picture day for our House League teams will be in late May 2015 on a date to be confirmed.  Stay tuned for more details.

Intra League Tournament

We will be having our 2nd Annual Intra League Tournament for our Rookie Ball, Mosquito and Peewee House League divisions. Tournaments will be hosted on the weekend of June 12 - 14 for Mosquito and Peewee, and the weekend of June 19 - 21 for Rookie Ball.

Playoff and Championship Weekend

Playoffs and the league championship games for Rookie, Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam will be conducted in a weekend tournament format in Mid-August with Championship Day on the Sunday.

Gala Day

Our T-Ball and Coach Pitch players will end their season with final games and celebrations on Gala day on Saturday, August 15.

Players are required to provide their own baseball glove and batting helmet.  Baseball cleats are recommended for Rookie Ball and older (no metal cleats).

Let’s Play Ball!!!
