Charges Laid in OMBA Fraud Investigation
The Halton Regional Police Fraud Unit has completed a year-long investigation into the misappropriation of Oakville Minor Baseball Association finances.
On October 28th, 2014, 64 year old Oakville resident Douglas William STIRLING was arrested and charged with Fraud Over $5000.
It is alleged that between the dates of January 2007 through to July 2013, Mr. Stirling, during his tenure as Treasurer and member of the OMBA Board of Directors, defrauded OMBA of over $468,000 for personal financial gain.
Mr. Stirling is to appear in court on November 25, 2014, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Milton.
