Minor Rookie A's Win Fourth Tournament

The Minor Rookie A's won the Brantford Tournament on the weekend.



In the round robin, the A’s beat Pickering 15-5, lost to Cambridge 15-11 and beat Georgetown 19-5. The A’s offence overpowered Kitchener in a 20-4 semi final win that featured back-to-back-to-back triples by Benjamin W, Anthony B and William M and a home run by Josh B. The win set up a rematch with the Cambridge Cubs in the final.
 
In the final, the A’s scored two runs in the first and the Cubs got three in the second, then both teams played amazing shut down defence for the next two innings. Oakville’s offence started to overcome the Cubs defence in the fifth. The A’s scored one run in the fifth, four in the sixth and three runs in the seventh while they continued to shut out the Cubs, not allowing a run after the second inning and winning the game 10-3.
