Information on Heat Warnings
As
baseball is a summer sport, we do not cancel games or practices in the
event of a heat warning. Similarly, the Town does not typically close fields due to high temperatures. Games and practices will proceed as scheduled unless you are otherwise notified.
We suggest players sit in the
shade when they are not up to bat or on the field and to drink plenty of water. Families are encouraged to communicate with their coach directly if they are not comfortable having their player participate in high temperatures as player safety and well-being should always come first and you need to make the best choice for your player.
